What is HSBC Innovation Banking?

HSBC Innovation Banking is a new dedicated banking practice focused on the innovation economy, led by Silicon Valley veterans. This offering will bring HSBC’s expansive product suite and unmatched international capabilities to support companies in the innovation ecosystem at every stage of their journey. It sits within the bank’s US Commercial Banking business and remains a distinct effort focused on serving companies in technology and healthcare, as well as the investors who support them. HSBC has initially assembled a team of more than 40 bankers in the Bay Area, Boston, and New York City as part of this initiative.
The US Innovation Banking team works closely with the 650+ global Innovation Banking colleagues in London, Israel, and Hong Kong - which enables them to serve the banking and debt needs of innovation companies across the world.

HSBC Innovation Banking offers tailored banking and lending products and services that are designed specifically for innovation businesses and their investors. What is being offered through the Innovation Banking Debt Platform?

HSBC Innovation Banking Debt Platform will cover venture-backed companies from Series A and beyond, in addition to public companies with growth capital needs – across the Technology and Life Science / Healthcare ecosystem.
HSBC Innovation Banking is also establishing a dedicated team to serve the VC and PE firms on their fund banking and debt needs.
Alongside building out a customized banking service for funds, HSBC now has the capability to provide cap call facilities, management and GP lines.
